Having played almost 20 festivals in the UK last year, Sam shows no signs of slowing down. With a tireless love of music and dedication to her craft, we all are convinced that 2022 is going to be her biggest year so far. Ahead of Sam Divine’s grand return to the Capital this Saturday 14th May, we take a closer look at some of our favourite timeless classics released by the Queen of Defected.
For this song, Sam Divine joins forces with Irish DJ and producer Kormak for a proper masterclass of house music. The bass carries the song as it surfs through relentless drums, accompanied with soulful vocals. All combined represent another classic release by Defected Records.
The Queen of Defected and her production parner Curtis Gabriel team up for their take on the massive UK Garage anthem Flowers. Preserving the attitude of the original release, the duo flip the song upside down and convert it into a house track that raises the roof everywhere it goes.
Produced alongside Curtis Gabriel, ‘Confessions’ is a pure DJ track; Sam knows how to work a club crowd and this track has the perfect combination of forward-moving 4/4 beat, catchy melodic bass and vivacious vocals courtesy of Nat Conway.
In another demonstration of how to remix a track, Sam Divine flips this 90s classic. Sandy B’s vocals set the tone of a song that can instantly transport the listener to any club in Ibiza at 4AM.
Showing her love for UKG and her proficiency at remixing again, Sam Divine transforms a timeless track from the year 2000. Sam Divine’s signature bass carries the song once more, accompanied by blissful keys in a track comprised by a waterfall of emotions.
An all-female lineup curated by Sam herself, insatiable grooves and 360 production, will transform The Steel Yard into a hedonistic playground for one of the most special events of the year so far.
